Original British Streetwear – Overshirts

The overshirt has its roots in the American work shirt and the military CPO jacket, garments built for hard daily wear that found their way into classic streetwear and never left. At Boxfresh, it’s a category that we keep coming back to. Relaxed fits, considered fabrications, functional construction that works all year round.

British Streetwear – Shirts

Heavyweight brushed flannel, cotton ripstop, twill and check. Each chosen for weight, handle and how they wear over time. A good streetwear shirt should always have heft. Quilted and padded versions sit alongside unlined constructions, giving the category range from transitional layer to something closer to outerwear. Patch pockets with flap closures, reinforced buttonholes, and considered hardware run through, where the construction calls for it. Some pieces carry graphics or seasonal treatments; others rely entirely on cloth and cut. The lineage runs from military to chore coats and shirt jackets; garments designed for function that earned a permanent place in the modern style lexicon.
