Boxfresh returned with Keep Hush for round two at The Carpet Shop, Peckham, founded by the people behind Corsica Studios. A raw, intimate space with an underground feel, built for close-up sets and a crowd locked into the sound. A new room, same energy. This time, the night moved through jungle, grime and garage before dropping back down into the low end.
Alicia opened with a slow-building blend of techno, dubstep and ambient. South London’s Jawnino linked with Chamber 45 on the decks, and DJ Zinc, a jungle and drum and bass original, took things through garage and bassline. A proper trip through the sounds of the city, from the first selections to the last.
Shout out to everyone who came through and stayed locked in till the end.
